FAQ

Are my files uploaded anywhere?

No. Everything happens in your browser, and closing the tab clears them from memory.

Can I merge password-protected files?

Yes. You are asked for each password, and the result has no password. To protect the result again use the "Protect / unlock" tab.

Are form fields and bookmarks kept?

Pages, links and pictures are kept, but the original form fields and the bookmark outline are not copied. Fill a form first, then merge.

How do I write a page range?

Type page numbers separated by commas, such as 1-3, 5, 8- (8- means page 8 to the last). 5-3 gives pages 5, 4, 3, and the same page may repeat.

Is my file uploaded anywhere?

No. Everything happens in your browser.

What is the difference between "page ranges" and "pull chosen pages"?

Page ranges give several files (1-3, 4-6 gives two). Pulling pages gives one file with the pages in the order you type them, so 5, 1-2 gives page 5 and then pages 1 and 2.

Are bookmarks and form fields kept?

Content, links and pictures are kept, but the original bookmark outline and form fields are not copied into the split files.

Is my file uploaded anywhere?

No. Everything happens in your browser.

Is a deleted page really gone from the file?

The new file does not contain it, because it is built from the pages that remain. Your original file is not changed.

How do batch orders work?

Type positions in the list as it is now, such as 2-4, 7, then press rotate or delete. After you move pages, the positions follow the new order.

Are bookmarks and form fields kept?

No. The new file keeps the pages, links and pictures, but the original bookmark outline and form fields are not copied.

Is my file uploaded anywhere?

No. Everything happens in your browser.

Is the cut part really gone from the file?

No, only hidden. The page frame is made smaller but the original content stays in the file, and some programs can bring it back. If the cut part holds secrets, use the "Redact and mark up" tab, which turns the page into a picture.

Does it work on rotated pages?

Yes. Top, bottom, left and right are as you see them on screen, whether or not the page is rotated inside the file.

Is my file uploaded anywhere?

No. Everything happens in your browser.

How do I print the booklet?

Print the result double-sided, choose "flip on the short edge" in the print dialog, then fold the whole stack in half and staple the middle. The pages come out in the right order by themselves. The page count is padded to a multiple of 4.

Will the letters be too small?

They shrink with the number of pages per sheet. 4 per sheet stays comfortable when the original is A4; 9 and 16 suit an overview.
