Colour Palette from an Image: Dominant Colours with HEX, RGB, HSL and Contrast Check
Choose or drop a picture. It is shrunk and its colours are grouped (k-means) to give the main colours in order of share, the same every time for the same picture. The contrast figures show how readable white or black text is on each colour (AA needs at least 4.5).

FAQ
How are the main colours found?
The picture is shrunk and similar pixels are grouped (k-means); each group's average becomes a colour. Transparent pixels are ignored, so a palette colour is an approximation, not necessarily one exact pixel.
What do AA and AAA contrast mean?
WCAG measures the brightness difference between text and background. AA needs 4.5 or more (3 for large text) and AAA needs 7, so people with low vision can read it.
